This heartbreaking video shows the moment a ‘crying’ Rottweiler grieves over his brother.
Brutus is seen resting his head on his brother Hank’s shoulder as he lies peacefully on a blanket, looking sadly up at the camera.
His owner, Brett Bennett from Seattle, said: ‘Brutus has never whined or cried out in pain the two years I have had him…But clearly you can see in his eyes, he is crying for his brother who had passed as his world around him just crumbles.
‘We both grieve and cry for our brother… This is proof that animals DO have emotions and feel pain just like we do.’
Brett adopted Brutus and Hank from a rescue centre in 2013 and created a YouTube channel for the pair, which has gathered over 23 million views.
Hank had been ill for some time, according to Brett, but had appeared to be making a recovery before he died on January 20.
The emotional one minute 56 second footage has already had 600,000 views since it was uploaded six days ago.
