London is one of the world’s worst cities… for free Wi-Fi

LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM: JULY 29: Models seen here traveling through The London Underground in short shorts on July 29, 2014, in London, England. Dress down Friday? Thankfully Londoners can now rest easy as the extreme fashion faux-pas, which took Twitter by storm earlier this week, has now been revealed as an elaborate marketing stunt by Channel 4 to launch its new original Shorts programmes which are available to watch on the move, exclusively on Channel 4ís on-demand service, 4oD. The broadcaster engaged a tailor, who spent two weeks creating the bespoke 'barely there' bum huggers, and then deployed a team of brave male models to frequent City hotspots ñ kitted out in cringeworthy, buttock-revealing micro suit shorts. London is legendary for its high prices for everything from pints to property – and even Wi-Fi is a rip-off, a new survey has found.

A poll of laptop-toting business travellers ranked London as among the world’s worst cities for free Wi-Fi – behind destinations such as Macau, Osaka, Paris and Helsinki.

The poll of travlellers from 88 countries found that New York was the best city in the world for getting online for free

Over 12% of business travellers polled from 88 countries agree that the US city is one in the best in the world, closely followed by Singapore and Bangalore (both 10%), and Barcelona (8%).

London however, followed dismally behind at 17 with just 1%.

‘Free Wifi is no longer a nice-to-have option and demand remains high among travellers worldwide.’ says BuzzCity CEO, KF Lai.
