Layering….Solid Over Print

I don’t see this very often but when I see it, I notice it. It’s unexpected, but it seems to work – this idea of layering a separate over a similar kind of item. For example on the left is a solid skirt layered over a printed pant from the Fall14 Kenzo Show. On the right a street shot from Paris of a silver brocade blouse over a printed silk blouse.

It’s one of those “styling tricks” that is never really a trend, but that’s a way of wearing clothes that makes dressing up fun.
