Katy Perry’s Super Bowl sharks have done their first chat show interview. We’re not convinced it went that well…

Left Shark and Right Shark on The Late Late Show


We knew it would only be a matter of time before the Super Bowl Sharks cashed in on their new-found stardom.


Indeed, just days after the dancing duo won hearts all over the world with their partially accurate moves during Katy Perry’s half-time show, they returned to US screens for their first chat show appearance.


Except their time on the Late Late Show sofa was rather hampered by their inability to talk – despite host John Mayer’s best endeavours.

‘What’s it been like to see this turn into such a national media event?’ he asked the pair – only to be told by accompanying marine biologist Carl Thorsen: ‘They can’t talk John, they’re sharks – they’re not dolphins.’


When questioned about their ability to dance, however, he promptly responded: ‘Of course they can dance – they’re Super Bowl sharks.
