Inventive: This one footballer’s answer to forgetting his shinpads

For most football fans, the name Costa conjures up images of Chelsea’s feisty-yet-lethal striker Diego.

But for one (presumably) amateur player, the coffee shop was the first thing that came to his mind when he found himself without any shinpads.

The quick-thinking individual clearly stuffed a couple of used coffee cups down his socks, and while they may not have been particularly effective, he gets top marks for innovation.
