Yorkshire Air Ambulance were forced to land on Huddersfield’s John Smith Stadium pitch to airlift injured defender Tommy Smith to hospital.
He had been stretchered off the pitch wearing an oxygen mask following the injury he sustained in trying to prevent what turned out to be the winning goal for visitors Leeds United.
The Air Ambulance landed at the end of the match, which ended in a 2-1 victory for United.
The extent of Smith’s injury remains unclear, with Huddersfield tweeting they will be posting updates when they are known.
